About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy, through the Office of Naval Research (ONR), ONR Global (ONRG), and the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab (MCWL), is seeking proposals for long-range science and technology (S&T) projects that have the potential to advance and improve Navy and Marine Corps operations. The BAA solicits proposals across a wide range of scientific and engineering disciplines, with a focus on technology areas identified on the ONR website such as autonomous systems, directed energy, microelectronics, and marine sciences. Proposals will be evaluated based on technical merit, naval relevance, and the availability of funding. The BAA will remain open for approximately one year, with proposals accepted on a rolling basis through September 2024 or until replacement of the BAA.
Successful proposals may be funded through contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, or other transaction agreements. The funding amounts and periods of performance will vary based on the technical approach, but can range from under $100,000 to over $1 million per year for projects up to 5 years in duration. Eligible applicants include academia, industry, non-profits, and Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs) worldwide.
