Synopsis
The Embassy of the United States in Kinshasa announces a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for a program to improve fiscal transparency of mining royalties in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The project would create strategic guidance on managing new mining royalty revenue streams, and establish partnerships with local non-profit/non-governmental organizations (often referred to in the DRC as civil society organizations) and government reform partners in order to promote sustained economic development in mining communities and the nation. The Period of Performance for this grant will be 18 months. Funding authority rests in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended.
