About this opportunity
The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is seeking applications for approximately $102 million in competitive grant funding to expand access to high-quality, comprehensive early childhood education services through the Head Start, Early Head Start, and Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership programs. Eligible applicants include public or private nonprofit organizations, including faith-based organizations, and for-profit agencies. Key objectives of the funding include increasing the availability of center-based, home-based, or family child care models for low-income families. Applications will be evaluated based on criteria such as the applicant's qualifications, approach, and ability to meet program requirements. The deadline to apply is May 14, 2024.
The grant funding will provide up to 60 months of support, and successful applicants will be required to provide at least 20% in matching funds. The grant opportunity is assigned under the Head Start federal grant program (CFDA #93.600), which supports the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social, and other services to low-income children and their families to promote school readiness.
