About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy (CDP) is seeking applicants for a cooperative agreement to support an international standards development process for information and communications technology (ICT) and critical and emerging technology (CET). The key objectives are to enhance like-minded nations' representation, expand the number of countries aligned with the U.S. government's vision, and assist participant countries in adopting international standards for domestic policies and laws. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits and other organizations. The proposal must address requirements such as establishing a baseline understanding of standards knowledge, providing broad-based training, and developing a cohort of emerging economy standards professionals. The application deadline is July 16, 2024.

The funding available is up to $2,250,000 for a single cooperative agreement with a 36-month period of performance. The project will target low-, middle- and upper-middle income countries, with activities to be implemented across ASEAN member countries, Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa and the Middle East, the Western Hemisphere, Europe, and South Asia.
