About this opportunity
This federal grant opportunity from the Bureau of Land Management Colorado Threatened and Endangered Species Program seeks projects supporting conservation and recovery of federally-listed and sensitive species through on-the-ground actions. Eligible applicants include higher education institutions, tribal and local governments, nonprofits and special districts to undertake activities such as identifying, monitoring, surveying, analyzing, collecting specimens of, educating the public about, and improving habitat for threatened and endangered species on BLM lands in Colorado. Applicants must submit proposals by March 4, 2024 addressing technical approach, qualifications, budget, public benefit and how the project leverages additional resources, and preference will be given to proposals addressing priority species and habitats.
Total estimated available funding is $350,000, with awards ranging from $50,000 to $250,000 over one to five years. Funded projects will work to support threatened and endangered species conservation efforts on Bureau of Land Management properties located in Colorado. Evaluation will be based on an application's statement of need, technical approach, qualifications, public benefit, and leveraging of additional resources.
