About this opportunity
The Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is offering approximately $1 billion in FY 2025 discretionary funds through the Airport Terminal Program (ATP) grants. The purpose of the ATP is to provide annual grants to eligible airports for terminal and airport-owned Air Traffic Control Tower development projects that address aging airport infrastructure. The grants will align with DOT's Strategic Framework FY2022-2026 and the priorities outlined in Executive Order 14052, including efficient and equitable investment, promoting U.S. economic competitiveness, creating job opportunities with high labor standards, strengthening infrastructure resilience, and effective coordination with state and local partners. The application deadline is July 31, 2024.
The ATP grants are part of the broader FAA Airport Improvement Program, COVID-19 Airports Programs, and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Programs (CFDA 20.106), which provide funding for various airport infrastructure projects nationwide. Typical award amounts for these programs range from hundreds of thousands to tens of millions of dollars, with project periods often spanning 4 years to allow for design, construction, and closeout phases.
