About this opportunity
The Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is seeking applicants for the New Access Points (NAP) grant funding opportunity under the Community Health Centers program. The purpose of this funding is to support the establishment of new health center service delivery sites that will expand affordable, accessible, and high-quality primary healthcare for underserved communities and populations. Eligible applicants include private non-profit entities, public agencies, tribal and urban Indian organizations located in the U.S. or its territories. Applications will be evaluated based on factors such as the applicant's ability to implement the proposed service delivery model and meet the Health Center Program requirements. The application process consists of two phases, with Phase 1 due in Grants.gov by August 15, 2024 and Phase 2 due in the HRSA Electronic Handbooks by September 30, 2024.
HRSA anticipates making available approximately $50 million in total funding to support around 77 new grants of up to $650,000 each. The period of performance for the awarded grants will be one year, from June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026. Successful applicants must open all proposed service delivery sites and demonstrate compliance with Health Center Program requirements within 120 days of receiving the award.
