About this opportunity

The Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration is offering the Expanded Hours (EH) grant to expand access to health center services by increasing the number of health center operating hours. The purpose is to support health centers in meeting identified patient and community needs. Eligible applicants are current Health Center Program operational (H80) grant award recipients. The review criteria will evaluate factors such as the proposed approach to expanding hours, the demonstrated need, and the health center's capacity to implement the project. The application deadline is a two-phase process, with the initial application due in Grants.gov by June 24, 2024 and the supplemental information due in HRSA EHBs by July 23, 2024.

The anticipated total funding available is $60 million, which will fund approximately 120 new grants. Each grant award will be up to $500,000 per year for a 2-year period of performance. The grants will support health centers in increasing their operating hours to better serve their communities.
