The Economic Development Administration seeks applications for the FY 2023 Distressed Area Recompete Pilot Program Phase 2 to fund 4-8 projects focusing on workforce development, business and entrepreneur development, infrastructure development, additional planning, predevelopment, and technical assistance. Only applicants approved under Phase 1 may apply. Subject to available funds, awards will alleviate persistent economic distress and support long-term comprehensive economic development and job creation in areas with high prime-age employment gaps. Awards will range from $1-2 million each for a total of $5 million to support activities in eligible areas as defined in the notice.
