The Department of Health and Human Services Public Health Service, Office of Research Integrity, is soliciting applications for conferences and workshops on research integrity and compliance with 42 C.F.R. part 93, with applications due July 27, 2026. Up to two awards of $25,000 to $50,000 per budget period are anticipated, with an estimated total funding availability of $100,000.

Eligible applicants include county governments, city/township governments, state governments, special district governments, tribal governments (federally recognized), tribal organizations (not federally recognized), public Indian housing authorities, independent school districts, public and private higher education institutions, 501(c)(3) and non-501(c)(3) nonprofits, small businesses, and for-profit organizations.

Conferences may be in-person, virtual, or a combination of both. Projects must address at least one of three focus areas: organization of thematic conferences on research integrity challenges such as data sharing, data management, or artificial intelligence; skill-building workshops for research integrity officers and institutional officials; or outreach and education events for broader community engagement. Recipients must develop comprehensive evaluation strategies and dissemination plans to ensure conference materials reach audiences beyond event participants. All approaches, tools, and resources developed must be made freely available to the Public Health Service-funded research community.

The period of performance is 12 months, with an anticipated award date of September 30, 2026. Applications must be submitted via Grants.gov and include a project narrative (maximum 18 pages), work plan, personnel biosketches, and detailed budget justification. A technical assistance webinar is scheduled for July 13, 2026 at 1:00 PM Eastern. The program is funded under CFDA 93.085, Research on Research Integrity.
