About this opportunity
The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is offering the Digital Projects for the Public grant program to support projects that interpret and analyze humanities content in primarily digital platforms and formats, such as websites, mobile applications, games, and virtual environments. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, accredited higher education institutions, and government entities. NEH will evaluate proposals based on the project's intellectual significance, the quality of the digital components, and the ability to engage the public. The application deadline is June 12, 2024, and the anticipated award announcement is in December 2024.
NEH expects to award approximately $1.5 million among 11-16 recipients. The program offers three funding categories: Discovery (up to $30,000), Prototyping (up to $100,000), and Production (up to $400,000). Projects must start between February 1, 2025, and September 1, 2025, and NEH will provide the funding through outright grants without any cost-sharing requirements.
