About this opportunity
The National Science Foundation (NSF) Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) Directorate is seeking research and education proposals that develop new knowledge in all aspects of computing, communications, and information science and engineering, as well as advanced cyberinfrastructure. The core programs under this funding opportunity include the Division of Computing and Communication Foundations, Division of Computer and Network Systems, Division of Information and Intelligent Systems, and Office of Advanced Cyberinfrastructure. Proposers can submit projects in three classes: Small Projects up to $600,000 for up to 3 years, Medium Projects from $600,001 to $1,200,000 for up to 4 years, and OAC Core Projects up to $600,000 for up to 3 years.
The Federal Grant Opportunity is open to various applicant types, including academic institutions, research organizations, and multidisciplinary teams. Proposals should focus on advancing scientific understanding, developing transformative technologies, and addressing national research priorities in computing and information science, such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum computing, and emerging technologies. The work is primarily performed at academic research institutions across the United States.
