About this opportunity
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applicants for a five-year Child Protection and Care (CPC) activity to be implemented in Cambodia from 2025-2029. The purpose of the CPC activity is to strengthen the child protection and care system in Cambodia so the most underserved and marginalized children can thrive in safe, loving, nurturing, and permanent family-based care with birth, kin, or local adoptive families. USAID is soliciting feedback on the major opportunities and risks, best practices or promising entry points for preventing family separation and supporting children/youth (including those with disabilities) to transition to family-based care or independent living, and effective practices for supporting the transition of residential care to family support services. Local organizations are also requested to provide a brief statement of their capability, including project experience, sub-award management, technical expertise, and geographic coverage in Cambodia.
The anticipated value of the planned CPC activity is between $5-$7.5 million. The funding opportunity is open to unrestricted applicant types and will be awarded through a cooperative agreement mechanism. The application due date is October 28, 2024, and the activity is to be implemented in Cambodia.
