Eligible applicants include county, state, city, and tribal governments. The program aims to integrate substance use treatment, drug testing, incentives, sanctions, and recovery support services into judicially supervised criminal court settings to reduce recidivism and increase access to treatment. Applications will be evaluated based on the proposed program's alignment with evidence-based practices and potential impact. Applications are due May 2, 2024.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) seeks applications for funding. OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. This program furthers the DOJ's mission to uphold the rule of law, to keep our country safe, and to protect civil rights.
