Synopsis
The Harold Rogers Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) helps detect and prevent the diversion and abuse of pharmaceutical controlled substances. Forty-nine states and one U.S. territory (Guam) now have operational PDMPs. The Harold Rogers Prescription Drug Monitoring Program allows for state discretion to plan, implement, or enhance a PDMP to accommodate local decision-making based on state laws and preferences, while encouraging the replication of promising practices.
