The U.S. Department of State's Public Diplomacy Section in Tegucigalpa, Honduras is seeking proposals from teams of at least two alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs for the 2025 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) grant opportunity. The grant aims to fund alumni-led projects addressing global challenges, with a focus on themes such as reducing illegal migration, fostering economic growth, promoting entrepreneurship, advancing U.S. technology and innovation, and supporting education and English language development. Proposals must be submitted by April 30, 2025, at 23:59 pm CST, and will be evaluated based on their ability to meet the program's objectives and demonstrate innovative approaches.

The AEIF grant typically provides awards ranging from $15,000 to $69,000 for projects lasting 6-12 months. The program is part of the Educational and Cultural Exchange Programs Appropriation Overseas Grants (CFDA 19.022), which has historically funded nearly 500 alumni-led projects globally. Projects must be implemented in Honduras, with the goal of advancing U.S. foreign policy goals and maximizing the impact of exchange programs.
