About this opportunity
The Office of the National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), under the Executive Office of the President, is seeking applications from national nonprofit organizations to establish and operate the National Community Antidrug Coalition Institute. The Institute will deliver training, technical assistance, and capacity-building services to community anti-drug coalitions nationwide, with particular emphasis on serving economically disadvantaged areas. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits that demonstrate special expertise, broad national-level experience in community anti-drug coalitions, and the capability to provide comprehensive training and technical assistance to coalition leaders. The merit review process will evaluate applicants' demonstrated expertise in training and technical assistance provision, their ability to amplify communities and partners served by coalitions, and compliance with all required application content and eligibility criteria. The application deadline is May 1, 2026.
Based on historical funding patterns, awards for this program typically range from $2 million to $2.5 million annually, with the grant period extending for four years and subject to possible extensions. The grantee will be responsible for developing and disseminating evaluation tools, translating research into practical interventions, and supporting coalition development across the nation. Grant recipients must maintain complete records on fund disposition and retain cooperative agreement records for three years, with annual audits submitted to the Federal Audit Clearinghouse no later than nine months after the close of the recipient's audited fiscal year.
