About this opportunity

The 2019 Venezuelan Refugee and Migrant Regional Response federal grant opportunity from the Department of State Bureau of Population Refugees and Migration seeks concept note activities that primarily support Venezuelan refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, the Caribbean region, or the Central American region. Applicants must target a beneficiary base of at least 51% refugees/asylum seekers/vulnerable migrants, with funding instruments in the form of a cooperative agreement. The deadline for submission of concept notes is March 18, 2019, as guided by the instructions in the attached PKG00248919-instructions.pdf and FY2019 NOFO Concept Notes VZ FINAL.docx files.

This funding opportunity is assigned under the Overseas Refugee Assistance Programs for Western Hemisphere federal grant program (CFDA #19.518), which provides direct emergency humanitarian assistance such as food, non-food items, shelter, health, psychosocial support, and livelihoods support for refugees and migrants from Venezuela. Expected places of performance for selected projects would be in the countries of Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, as well as the Caribbean and Central American regions as defined by the Bureau of Population Refugees and Migration.

Synopsis

Concept note activities should primarily support Venezuelan refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, the Caribbean region (defined below), or the Central American region (defined below). Because of PRM's mandate to provide protection, assistance, and sustainable solutions for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants in situations of vulnerability, PRM will consider funding only those projects that include a target beneficiary base of at least 51 percent refugees/asylum seekers/vulnerable migrants.
