Bldg. M Crawl Space Flowable Fill
A. Floor Sinks: All floor sinks should be removed and replaced.
B. Trench Drawings: The main trench drains that are showing deck corrosion should be prepared in the crawlspace for a temporary seal to act as a form for the flowable fill to span between joist and basically act as select fill holding the floor up.
C. Sanitary Drains: All sanitary piping should be replaced. All flexible connections on PVC drainage pipe should be replaced with hard piping when possible. The hanger should provide both suspension and limit the rise of the pipe when flowable fill is installed.
D. Water Lines: Replace all the piping with PEX piping with manifold boxes in the kitchen, then dropping underfloor to each rise into the space at fixtures or equipment. The hanger should provide both suspension and limit the rise of the pipe when flowable fill is installed. Insulation that has been damaged should be replaced. Water valves shall be eliminated underfloor with the PEX manifolds.
E. Pulper: the piping hangers modified to prevent the piping from floating up during installation of the flowable fill.
F. Ventilation: Remove crawlspace fan and ductwork to crawlspace.
G. Sump Pump: the existing pump removed and the sanitary line capped.
H. Electrical
1. All vertical electrical connections through the floor showing corrosion should be replaced.
2. If a feeder or circuit has a junction box, that feeder or circuit will be replaced to eliminate junction boxes as it will be encased in flowable fill.
3. All lighting and receptacle circuits should be removed in the crawlspace and conductors pulled back to the breaker.
4. Feeders should all be tested and replaced if necessary. Conduits should be replaced if corroded.
5. All hangers will be modified so that conduits to do not float up when flowable fill is installed.
Bldg. M Fire Suppression
A. The Dry pipe riser should be sized for a density of 0.2 gpm/sf. This amounts to 120 GPM. The Riser should be able to flow that much water and can be retained.
B. The piping and heads should be replaced to hydraulically deliver 0.2 GPM/sf.
C. The bird netting should be replaced.
D. Lower the light fixtures to be under the bird netting.
E. Replace the painted sprinkler head.
Bldg. H Fire Suppression
A. Extending piping to the racks for the stub out and install sprinklers in the Rack.
B. The riser was originally designed with the rack sprinklers included in its flow requirements and thus the riser can remain as is.
