About this forecast

The National Park Service is procuring repair services for the Historic Octagon shelter in Ohio, including foundation stabilization, chimney and fireplace disassembly and reassembly, and replacement of removable window panels, windows, doors, and siding, with an estimated solicitation release on January 31, 2027. The north, east, and south sides of the structure are sinking; both historic chimneys are fractured with cracking from base to top, primarily along newly grouted joints, though some stones are also fractured; the contractor will label all stones, repair the foundation, and reassemble the chimney and fireplace.

The estimated award value ranges from $500,000 to $999,000 under commercial and institutional building construction (NAICS 236220). Place of performance is Ohio, USA. Lisa Petit, Deputy Superintendent at the National Park Service, serves as the point of contact and may be reached at lisa_petit@nps.gov.
