The procurement will provide federal agencies with online access to comprehensive legal, news, financial, public record, dockets, and related information databases, featuring full-text search and retrieval capabilities both within and across individual databases. The estimated solicitation release date is January 1, 2026, with an anticipated award date of April 1, 2026.

The estimated award value ranges from $150 million to $200 million, representing a significant increase from the previous contract. Performance will be executed in Independence, Kansas 67301, and the contract will operate on a firm-fixed-price basis with a base term plus four option periods. Interested parties should contact Tanya Newland-Senior (tanya.newland-senior@usdoj.gov) or DeChanta S. Vaughan (dechanta.s.vaughan@usdoj.gov, 202-230-2790) at the Department of Justice's Procurement Services Staff for additional information.

The CALR-5 contract had a ceiling value of $131.1 million and included 15 firm fixed price delivery orders supporting DOJ's legal research operations through September 30, 2024. The new CALR-6 recompete is anticipated to expand upon this scope with increased funding and continued support for federal agencies' specialized legal research requirements.
