About this opportunity
This pre-solicitation notice seeks proposals for a construction contract to mobilize to the Ehrenberg quarry in Yuma, Arizona. The contractor will be required to crush 1-4 inch rock material to gravel, load, weigh, haul and stockpile the material at three Bureau of Reclamation sites along the Colorado River. The Bureau of Reclamation's Lower Colorado Basin Yuma Area Office will evaluate proposals and award a firm fixed price contract for a one year period to a small business. The solicitation is expected to be posted to SAM.gov on or around July 17, 2023. Questions regarding the solicitation should be directed to the point of contact, Kathleen Berry, by email only.
This requirement is set aside exclusively for small businesses with 500 employees or fewer in NAICS code 212319. The contractor will mobilize to one quarry to crush approximately 365 days worth of material into gravel, then haul and stockpile the crushed gravel at three Reclamation sites along the Colorado River. No incumbent or current contractors were identified. The one year contract period and small business set aside suggest an award value below $4 million for this requirement.
