Added: May 20, 2016 3:51 pm Modified: Jul 11, 2016 5:54 pmTrack Changes The Bureau of Reclamation, Columbia Cascades Area Office, Yakima Washington, has a need to overhaul a turbine and pump located at the Chandler Pumping Plant facility which is located at 47415 Old Inland Empire Hwy, Benton City, Washington 99320. The work consists of inspection, testing, repair, and final machining of pump and turbine components. Work includes: testing and inspection of bearings to confirm the usability and repairs if needed and approved; final machining of the wear ring on a spare turbine runner; and inspection and refurbishing the existing turbine runner including the installation of a new wear ring and the inspection and repair of the existing impeller. The contractor shall be responsible for all labor, materials, and supplies to rebuild and test the turbine and pump, and pick-up and delivery. Reclamation recognizes that without dismantling the pump prior to complete diagnoses, a complete statement of work is not available. Firm fixed price tasks will be addressed in the solicitation. Any additional work (determined necessary during the inspection) that is NOT defined in the solicitation will be addressed after award via modification. Additional work will be negotiated with a Reclamation Contracting Officer and the contractor. The turbine is a James Leffel and Company turbine and the pump is a Worthington Hydrocone Pump. Known condition at time of last operation is that the turbine and pump were fully operational. This requirement is being issued as a full and open competition. The product services code is J043. An electronic copy of the Request for Quotation will be posted in the near future. Price, experience, technical, and branch location will be evaluated to determine the awardee.
