Update #1 ·

The USDA APHIS PPQ is intending to award one Fixed price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for delivery of a Baited and Un-Baited Yellow Sticky Traps. The bait will specifically target Rhagoletis species. Certain insect traps have been shown to be an effective monitoring tool for non-indigenous insects. Various trap combinations have enabled the USDA to better contain and monitor potential infestations of these insects. Psyllids and other flying insects are some of the most serious exotic plant pests threatening agriculture and environmental resources. The USDA APHIS PPQ has been tasked by congress with detecting, monitoring and managing these insects. The impact of these insects, should they become established, would have irreversible impacts on natural resources, hinder trade and increase costs of production.

This acquisition will be done in accordance to FAR 13 - Simplified Acquisitions Procedures and will be 100% set aside for small businesses only. The NAICs code is 325320 - Pesticide and Other Agricultural Chemical Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1000 employees.

The solicitation and the specifications will be made available electronically at this website on or about 04/21/17. All changes to the pre-solicitation notice, solicitation and any attachments shall be posted here.
