About this opportunity

NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Nuclear Directorate issued a Request for Information on May 5, 2026, to identify small business suppliers for a Blanket Purchase Agreement covering 57 competitively procured Navy nuclear reactor water chemicals (FSC 6810, NAICS 325199); responses are due June 4, 2026, at 17:00 EDT. This is a total small business set-aside and market research instrument only; response does not commit the government to procure or issue a solicitation, and failure to respond does not preclude participation in any future RFP.

NAVSUP WSS is responsible for provisioning, procurement, and quality assurance of all components within Navy nuclear propulsion plants. The water chemicals are used in secondary systems of Navy nuclear reactors and must comply with rigorous quality management systems including ISO 9000, MIL-I-45208, MIL-Q-9858, or IQE-1 standards. All contracts will include Government Source Inspection and may require First Article Testing or Production Lot Testing. Procurement will use simplified acquisition procedures for individual orders under $250,000.

Interested parties must submit a white paper (maximum 25 pages, under 5MB) describing relevant past performance supplying similar higher-level quality chemicals from the past 12 months. Responses must include administrative information and business type classification under NAICS 325199 and be sent to trevor.l.allander.civ@us.navy.mil. The government will not reimburse costs associated with responding to the RFI.
