About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 9, issued a Notice of Intent on March 2, 2026, regarding a succeeding lease for medical office and related space in Knoxville, Tennessee. The government currently occupies space at 1525 Downtown West Blvd in Knoxville and is seeking to lease alternative or successive real property to support operations. This procurement is being conducted under FAR 6.302-1, which permits non-competitive contracting when only one responsible source can satisfy agency requirements. The notice is not a request for competitive quotes, and no formal solicitation document is available.
The government intends to lease 9,609 rentable square feet with a minimum of 50 parking spaces for use as a community-based outpatient clinic, with occupancy required by February 1, 2027. The lease term consists of five years firm followed by five years non-firm. Any firm believing it can meet the requirements must submit written notification to the contracting officer within seven calendar days of the notice publication date. Supporting evidence must demonstrate compliance and include the building name and address, rentable square feet offered, and other specified information. The delineated geographic area is limited to Knox County, with boundaries defined by Interstate 40 (north), Morrell Road (east), Gleason Drive (south), and Gallaher View Road (west).
