About this opportunity
The Iowa Army National Guard is seeking technical instruction services for a Writing Narcotic Search Warrants course through the Midwest Counterdrug Training Center. The course is designed to train up to 30 law enforcement officers on developing comprehensive and legally sound narcotic search warrants, with a minimum duration of 20 hours over three class days. Instructors must be current or former prosecutors with at least 15 years of legal experience and five years of teaching experience in search warrant courses. The government will use the Sources Sought Response Form, due by 10:00 am central time on March 31, 2025, to determine potential Performance Work Statement (PWS) revisions, appropriate set-asides, and solicitation response timelines. Key evaluation criteria will likely focus on instructor qualifications, course curriculum development, and ability to deliver training across multiple locations.
The solicitation does not currently have a specific set-aside designation and will cover a base period of approximately ten months with four 12-month option periods. Course iterations are expected to be conducted at various locations within the Midwest Counterdrug Training Center's service area, with approximately one-third of training held at the main campus in Camp Dodge, Johnston, Iowa. The contract will support up to three course iterations during the base period and potentially eight iterations per option period. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract falls under NAICS category 611699 for miscellaneous schools and instruction, with a Product Service Code of U006 for vocational/technical education and training. The broad geographic coverage and multiple potential course iterations suggest a significant training services opportunity for qualified vendors with specialized legal and instructional expertise.
