About this opportunity
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a sole source bridge contract to Phoenix International Holdings, Inc. for worldwide undersea search and salvage operations in support of the Director of Ocean Engineering, Supervisor of Salvage and Diving. The services include a wide range of search, recovery, rescue, and salvage operations relating to vessels and aircraft, as well as oil spill containment and port cleanup work. The contract must be performed within the time frame required to meet NAVSEA's operational needs and avoid unacceptable delays or duplication of costs. The current contract ends on December 31, 2022 and the follow-on competitive contract is suspended due to protest, necessitating this bridge contract.
There is no set-aside designated for this opportunity. The NAICS code for this requirement is 541620 and the PSC code is W, with Phoenix International Holdings, Inc. identified as the potential incumbent and current contractor. The bridge contract would have a base period of two months and two optional two-month extensions to fill the gap until the competitive contract protest is resolved.
