About this opportunity

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), specifically the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Marketing and Regulatory Programs Business Services, intends to issue a single-award, firm fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for wire ties to support the Cotton and Tobacco Program. The procurement will focus on obtaining wire ties through a solicitation identified as 12639525Q0061, with a targeted award date of March 31, 2025. Vendors interested in this opportunity must be classified under NAICS code 332618 - Other Fabricated Wire Product Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 500 employees or fewer. Potential contractors should carefully review the full solicitation, as the agency will not send direct notifications about the solicitation or its amendments. The contract opportunity is designated as a 100% total small business set-aside, in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.219-6, which means only small businesses can compete for this contract. The procurement will cover a five-year performance period, utilizing Product Service Code 9545 for plate, sheet, strip, foil, and wire products. While specific award value details are not explicitly stated in the pre-solicitation notice, the IDIQ structure suggests flexibility in potential order quantities and values throughout the contract's duration. Interested small businesses must submit their quotes by the specified deadline of April 2, 2025, following the guidelines outlined in the full solicitation document. Vendors are advised to periodically check the procurement website for any updates or amendments to ensure they have the most current information.
