About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command intends to solicit wing assembly aircraft replacement parts (NSN 7R-1560-016002718-QE and 7R-1560-016002719-QE) with a response deadline of July 9, 2026. This procurement carries a government source approval requirement; only previously approved sources have been solicited, and unapproved bidders must submit source approval information with their proposals or documentation that approval is already under evaluation at NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support.
The requirement covers 13 units each of two NSNs, with delivery FOB origin. Both items are flight-critical components, and the government has determined that available technical data does not support full and open competition. New source approvals typically cannot be processed within the acquisition timeline; if evaluation of a submitted source approval request cannot be completed in time to meet fleet support needs, award may proceed based on existing approved sources.
Offerors not currently approved must submit technical data documenting their experience in production of the same or similar items, or confirmation that a source approval request has been previously forwarded to NAVSUP WSS. Proposals lacking required source approval documentation or evidence of prior submission will not be considered for award. The NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochures and Commercial Item Identification Brochure are available at https://www.navsup.navy.mil/NAVSUP-Enterprise/NAVSUP-Weapon-Systems-Support/Business-Opps/.
