The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is conducting market research to identify qualified businesses capable of providing whole rock geochemical analyses for approximately 75 rock samples from the Alaska Science Center. The procurement requires contractors to perform specific technical methods including fusion decomposition, XRF, Leco, ICP-MS, and selective ion electrode techniques, with samples crushed and pulverized to precise specifications at the contractor's facility. Contractors must provide digital results in CSV or spreadsheet format accompanied by QA/QC documentation, with all work performed to 100% compliance standards as verified by the Technical Liaison. This pre-solicitation notice operates under NAICS code 541380 (Testing Laboratories and Services) with an associated size standard of $19 million.
