About this opportunity
The Bureau of Land Management seeks a LIDAR survey of six closed and abandoned federal mining claim areas in Alaska's Ruby Mining District, with an original proposal due date of May 12, 2026, but the solicitation has been cancelled and reissued. This is a 100% Women-Owned Small Business set-aside under NAICS 541370 (Surveying and Mapping Services), PSC R404 (Support Professional Land Surveys—Cadastral, Non-Construction).
Place of performance is the Ruby-Poorman Road area within the Ruby Mining District, Alaska's Central Yukon Field Office jurisdiction. The six claim areas total approximately 2,130 acres across Flat Creek (100 acres), Solomon Creek (41 acres), Poorman (710 acres), Greenstone Creek (160 acres), Long Creek (750 acres), and Trail Creek (360 acres). The contractor must deliver a 0.5-meter Digital Elevation Model in GIS online format no later than 60 days before the end of the period of performance. The period of performance runs from May 25, 2026 to September 1, 2027. The contractor furnishes all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision; the Final Report must be delivered electronically no later than 30 days after performance completion or one month after work completion, whichever is later, and must document actions taken, personnel onsite, equipment utilized, and daily forms including tailgate and Health & Safety meetings.
The original RFQ 140L6326Q0008 was cancelled via Amendment 0001 on May 2, 2026. The BLM anticipates issuing a new solicitation within 70–80 days and directs interested parties to monitor SAM.gov. The contracting officer is Laura Sherman (907-271-4440, laura_sherman@ios.doi.gov). Service Contract Act wage determinations apply for Alaska's Fairbanks North Star Borough counties. Evaluation will focus on technical acceptability and price.
