The fencing will be a permanent treated pole fence per the below specifications.

Project Specifications for fence: (note) All fencing materials will be provided by the USFS.
Fence Construction Specifications
The barrier fence will be constructed of treated wood poles, 9 inch in diameter overall. The fence height is 2 ft. above ground. The fence will have vertical supports every 14ft on linear straight portions. Sections of fence where there are bends or angle changes, vertical supports will be installed as needed. The joints of each horizontal poles will be centered over the vertical support. Each vertical support will be v-notched to cradle the horizontal pole, approximately 3 inches deep. The horizontal poles will be fastened to the vertical supports using appropriate length spikes. Vertical supports will be 18 inches above soil surface with 30 inches below surface, for a total vertical support length of 4ft. All vertical supports will need to be cut on site from longer length poles. A maximum gap of ½ inch is allowed at the joints of the horizontal poles at elevation or angle changes. If the gap is greater than ½ inch then all horizontal pole ends must be cut at horizontal changes in direction to allow a uniform joint.
