The work will consist of abandoning the existing well and building a new well a minimum of 50 feet deep. See specifications to determine final depth and well test and existing well abandonment. The replacement of the existing 3/4 HP submersible well pump (1.5 inch). The motor is 220 volts single phase. The contractor need to provide all the required labor, equipment and materials to complete the work. Other tasks include well tests, lab samples, and restoration of areas to better or equal as the existing. The new pump needs to have a minimum point of operation of 20 gpm @ 145 foot head. The contractor needs to provide performance curves for approval..

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE:
The National Park Service, Midwest Region, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the well replacement project for Indiana Dunes National Park in Porter, IN.
Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary to abandon the existing well, build a new well, and replace the existing pump. Well tests, lab samples, and the restoration of the area will also be included in the scope.
SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6419R0021.
PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Under $25,000
TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by May 2019 with performance to begin in May 2019. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Porter County, IN will apply.
EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance, and Price.
North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 237110, and the size standard is $36.5 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses.
SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued and available May 2019 and will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov and FedConnect, website at https://www.fedconnect.net.
The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation.
REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have a DUNS number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications.
