About this opportunity

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), through its Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), is hosting a free national training webinar focused on subcontracting opportunities. The webinar will explore the Subcontracting Network (SUBNet), a system managed by the Small Business Administration (SBA) designed to connect businesses seeking small business subcontractors with potential small business partners. This virtual training event is part of GSA's ongoing efforts to support and promote small business participation in federal contracting. The webinar will be presented by Stephanie Lewis, a Program Manager from the SBA's Office of Government Contracting, and is scheduled as a comprehensive educational session about federal subcontracting resources and mechanisms.

The webinar's primary objective is to provide participants with insights into federal subcontracting requirements, opportunities, and resources, with a specific focus on demonstrating how SUBNet operates. Scheduled for Thursday, January 16th, 2025 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, the online event is open to all industry participants and requires prior registration. The learning objectives include understanding federal subcontracting requirements, exploring opportunities for small business subcontracting, and learning about available federal subcontracting resources. Participants will receive a detailed overview and live demonstration of the SUBNet system, which serves as a bridge connecting other-than-small businesses with federal contracts to small businesses seeking subcontracting opportunities. Interested parties can find additional information and register through the GSA events website, with follow-up communication providing details about joining the virtual meeting.
