About this opportunity

The General Services Administration's Office of Small Business is conducting a webinar on September 11, 2026, to train participants on using the Forecast of Contracting Opportunities Tool to identify planned federal procurements. The session, part of OSB's First Friday training series, will cover tool features, filtering and search techniques, and how to leverage opportunity information when pursuing federal contracts. Kemba Gilmore, Small Business Specialist at OSB, and Shannon C. Banks, IT Innovations Program Manager at OSB, will lead the discussion. The webinar runs from 1:00 PM ET and is held online; registration is required, with a confirmation email sent upon signup containing meeting access details. The Forecast tool fulfills statutory requirements under the Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988 and aggregates anticipated contracting opportunities across multiple agencies, with particular emphasis on opportunities accessible to small businesses. OSB maintains nationwide responsibility for GSA's small business programs and serves as chief advocate for small and disadvantaged business participation in federal procurement.
