About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing ballistic data and shot placement systems for small caliber (.50 Cal) testing. The preferred system must be able to capture bullet flight, muzzle velocity, accuracy, and muzzle energy data, and function with fully automatic weaponry. The equipment must be simple to use, operate in an indoor range up to 50m, and export data to a Windows computer. The government has determined this to be a commercial item requirement, and respondents are asked to provide information on their capabilities, relevant experience, and ability to commercialize the requested products or services. Responses are due by November 25, 2024, but participation does not guarantee future solicitation or contract award.
The government has not set aside this requirement for any specific business size or socioeconomic category, and the level of security clearance and foreign participation has not been determined. The government does not currently own or have access to the data for these items, and no budget or award value details have been provided. Small businesses are encouraged to respond with information on any teaming or subcontracting arrangements.
