About this opportunity
The Special Notice is for the procurement of water quality monitoring equipment by the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The BLM Arctic District Office (ADO) Fisheries Program requires the purchase of brand name YSI, Inc. multi-parameter water quality sondes and associated probes to maintain consistent and standardized data collection at existing monitoring sites. The current equipment being used is being discontinued, necessitating the transition to the next generation EXO2 sondes and probes.
The purpose of this procurement is to acquire the YSI equipment, which ensures compatibility with existing infrastructure, minimizes additional training for field staff, and maintains data standardization across BLM offices in Alaska. The Special Notice is issued under 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), the statutory authority that allows for other than full and open competition. The solicitation is not set-aside for any specific business category, and the due date for responses is September 11, 2024. Prior to award, the contracting officer will determine if the pricing is fair and reasonable.
