The U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking industry comments on the Draft Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of services for an activity titled "Water and Development."
In addition, USAID is announcing an "Industry Day" for all interested venders, small and large, profit and non-profit, to share information and learn about USAID's work in the water sector and this new proposed activity.
Draft SOW: USAID proposes a multiple-award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to acquire innovative and effective practices in the water sector supporting USAID's work in sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and in enhancing food security through productive use of water in agriculture. The proposed activity (Water and Development IDIQ, or WADI) will provide technical services and support to USAID Missions, Bureaus and Offices worldwide in implementing priority water sector activities.
USAID's Bureau for Economic Growth, Education, and the Environment's (E3's) Office of Water is hosting an Industry Day on March 13, 2013 for this upcoming procurement. Venders will be encouraged to share information and best practices and meet other interested parties for purposes of forming teaming arrangements. Large businesses and small businesses including: veteran-owned businesses; service-disabled veteran-owned businesses; HUBZone small businesses; and woman-owned small businesses as well as non-profit organizations are encouraged to participate. USAID will discuss its work in the water sector and address comments and questions on the draft SOW. This notice is not a Request for Proposals (RFP).
