About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Hood is seeking a non-personal services contract for washer, dryer, and duct maintenance and repair services at Fort Cavazos, Texas. The contract will support the Directorate of Public Works by providing comprehensive maintenance, repair, and replacement services for approximately 4,000 washers and dryers, along with complete exhaust and vent duct system cleaning. Contractors must employ personnel with National Appliance Service Technician Certification (NASTeC) and comply with National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) standards. Interested businesses must submit a 5-page capabilities statement by January 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM CT, demonstrating their ability to meet the performance thresholds of 96% compliance across preventive maintenance, machine numbering, scheduling, and reporting requirements. Evaluation will focus on the contractor's technical capabilities, experience, and ability to provide 24-hour emergency repair response.

The procurement is designated as a total small business set-aside, with the current contract (W91151-20-C-0012) being replaced by this new solicitation. The NAICS code is 811412 for Appliance, Household-Type, Repair and Maintenance Services, with a $19 million size standard. The contract will be structured as a firm-fixed price agreement with a base year from June 12, 2025, to June 11, 2026, and four additional one-year option periods extending through June 11, 2030. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of the services and the extensive scope of work covering multiple facilities suggest a substantial contract value. The requirement encompasses maintenance of ductwork, fans, motors, and baffles, with detailed reporting and quality control plans required from the selected contractor.
