About this opportunity
The Department of the Army, specifically the Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA), is conducting market research to identify potential vendors for the manufacturing of Maintenance Stands (NSN: 4910-01-115-6284, Part No. 12298097), classified under NAICS code 334419. This ground support equipment is essential for holding complete power pack assemblies (engine and transmission) for Bradley Fighting Vehicles and Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) family of vehicles, enabling maintenance personnel to perform diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls. Qualified vendors must demonstrate manufacturing capabilities, possess a current DD 2345 Military Critical Technical Data Agreement to access the limited distribution Technical Data Package, and have experience with first article testing and quality management systems. The government is seeking information on vendors' production capacity, lead times, pricing, and commercial availability, though this is a Request for Information (RFI) for planning purposes only and does not constitute a binding solicitation. Responses must be submitted by January 19, 2026, addressed to Angelo Wilson at angelo.b.wilson.civ@army.mil, with the understanding that the government is not committed to issuing a solicitation or awarding a contract based on this announcement.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, encouraging participation from small business entities across the industrial base. The government is seeking to manufacture 110 maintenance stands with a 100% option for additional units, representing a substantial production requirement. No incumbent contractor or current contract values are identified in this market research notice, as the government is still in the planning phase to determine acquisition strategy and vendor capabilities. The Sources Sought Notice does not specify a formal contract award value or timeline for delivery, as the primary objective is to assess market interest and capability before proceeding with a formal solicitation. Interested vendors should be prepared to provide detailed company information, manufacturing expertise, and production timelines to demonstrate their ability to fulfill this requirement effectively.
