About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Mobile is seeking a multiple award task order contract (MATOC) for design-build construction services supporting the Defense Health Agency's Northern Region. This Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will provide comprehensive design-build, repair, and construction services for military medical treatment facilities and medical research laboratory facilities. The solicitation (W9127825RA007) aims to enable quick and cost-effective responses to facility requirements, primarily at military installations, with new construction project costs generally limited by US Army Operation and Maintenance program statutory guidelines. The contract opportunity is currently open and advertised as an unrestricted solicitation, with proposals due by April 25, 2025. Potential contractors should be prepared to demonstrate capabilities in healthcare facility construction and renovation across the Northern Region.

While no specific set-aside is designated, the solicitation notes a preference for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The contract will focus on Commercial and Institutional Building Construction (NAICS 236220) with a specific product service code (PSC Y1DA) for hospital and infirmary construction. Though exact award values are not specified, the contract is structured to accommodate multiple contractors who can perform design-build services across various project scales. The geographical performance area will primarily encompass military installations in the Northern Region, with the potential for varied project sizes and scopes. Contractors should be prepared to handle both renovation of existing medical facilities and potential new construction projects, understanding that most projects will be constrained by Operation and Maintenance program funding limitations.
