Update #3 · Latest ·

NAVAIR awarded modification 01 to Delivery Order 1505 under Contract N00019-11-G-0001 to The Boeing Company to complete the VMTS procurement for non-recurring engineering, VMTS spares, one Instructor Ground Station, two Debrief Stations and VMTS upgrade Electronic Systems Integration Laboratory (ESIL) Weapons Replaceable Assembly (WRA) in the amount of $3,461,191.67.

Update #2 ·

NAVAIR awarded Delivery Order 1505 under Contract N00019-11-G-0001 to The Boeing Company for the procurement of twelve (12) Virtual Mission Training System (VMTS) Kits and spares.

Update #1 ·

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award the Virtual Mission Training System (VMTS) Time Critical Parts and Production effort as a firm-fixed-price delivery order (with one cost plus fixed fee CLIN) under Basic Ordering Agreement, N00019-11-G-0001. This is a continuation of an existing contractual effort to integrate a synthetic radar VMTS into the US Navy T-45C trainer aircraft. The period of performance will be approximately twenty four months and the requirement will involve the production, procurement and delivery of VMTS kits in support of an aircraft Engineering Change Proposal.

The kits shall include VMTS hardware and aircraft modification hardware in accordance with PRF-T45 VMTS-001 specifications. This Order procures time critical parts, full VMTS kits, one (1) Instructor Ground Station (IGS) and two (2) Debrief Stations (DBS).

NAVAIR intends to award this effort as a sole source procurement to The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source). The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer, systems integrator and producer of the T-45 aircraft, thus the only firm that possesses the requisite knowledge and integration capability to satisfy the pending requirement in the required timeframe.

This notice of intent is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation of offers. This synopsis is provided for information purposes only. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the United States Government.
