Synopsis:
The U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC), National Oceanic Atmospheric and Administration (NOAA), and the National Marine Fisheries Service intends to procure charter vessel services. The Government proposes to conduct scientific research in cooperation with fishery vessels along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico between Cape San Blas and Cedar Key, Florida. The objective of the research is to generate indices of relative abundance of federally-managed reef fishes for stock assessments and to inform fishery managers.
The contractor will provide their fishing vessel, captain, crew, and berthing accommodations equal to that of the crew for up to four (4) NOAA fishery biologists for performing deployment and retrieval of stationary video cameras and fish trapping. The location of the work will be from Cape San Blas to Cedar Key, Florida. The period of performance will be mid-August 2016 through mid-October 2016.
