About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
The Department of the Interior's Interior Business Center, on behalf of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for the provision of periodic and impromptu maintenance services for the AFRL's ground test range equipment. This includes John Deere tractors, Hyster and Kubota forklifts, and other low-speed vehicles, lawnmowers, and heavy equipment. The objective is to ensure the AFRL's ground test ranges remain fully operational to support the testing of developmental technologies for the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and other government agencies. Responses to the RFI are due by June 19, 2024.
Paragraph 2:
This RFI does not have a set-aside designation. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes are 811310 (Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and 561210 (Facilities Support Services). The RFI does not provide any specific information about potential incumbents or the anticipated contract value. This is an information-gathering exercise, and the government is not obligated to issue a solicitation or award a contract as a result of this RFI.
Notice text
This is a Request for Information on behalf of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). The AFRL ground test ranges are responsible for testing of developmental technology created to support warfighters across DoD, including DoE and other government agencies. It is vital to keep all aspects of the ground test ranges operational. The ground test range currently has low speed vehicles, lawnmowers, zero turns, and multiple pieces of heavy equipment. They require periodic maintenance and impromptu maintenance to support testing. These pillars allow the range to effectively support all aspects of ground testing for AFRL.
