NASA's Shared Services Center issued a sources-sought notice on September 4, 2026, regarding a sole-source intent to award a contract to Copper Mountain Technologies LLC for vector network analyzers, with capability statements due by 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on September 9, 2026.

The Government intends to procure two S5180B Select Series Vector Network Analyzers (50 Ohm, 2-Port, 2-Path configuration, 100 kHz to 18 GHz frequency range) with VNA software for Windows and optional Linux software, one ACM2202 Automatic Calibration Module (N-female to N-female, 100 kHz to 22 GHz at 50 Ohm), ISO17025/Z540-1 accredited calibration certificates for both units covering the 18–22 GHz range, and a Crown Customer Service Package providing technical support from expert engineers. Performance will be located at NASA Glenn Research Center, Cleveland, Ohio, with an eight-week delivery period from award.

Under FAR 12.102(a), NASA/NSSC determined that Copper Mountain Technologies LLC is the sole provider of the required equipment. Interested vendors may submit written capability statements to demonstrate qualifications for competitive consideration; the Government reserves discretion to compete the procurement based on responses received. Synopsis:

VENDORS MUST REFERENCE THE NOTICE ID WHEN SUBMITTING A CAPABILITY STATEMENT.

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for VECTOR NETWORK ANALYZERS. 

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to COPPER MOUNTAIN TECHNOLOGIES LLC: 631 E NEW YORK ST | INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA 46202 under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that COPPER MOUNTAIN TECHNOLOGIES LLC is the sole provider of VECTOR NETWORK ANALYZERS

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Glenn Research Center (GRC).

The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334516.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 9/9/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

NOTE:  Quotes received in response to this notice will NOT be considered and will not be evaluated by NASA’s Technical End User Team. We are currently only requesting Capability Statements.
