About this opportunity

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for supplying 32 specific aircraft components and installation kits, as detailed in Attachment 1 of the pre-solicitation notice. The market research is focused on aviation-related equipment including control panels, antenna installation kits, multifunction knob panels, searchlight equipment, battery monitoring systems, and communication equipment installations. Interested businesses are required to submit detailed responses by December 19, 2024, at 2:00 pm EDT, with responses sent via email to Steven.A.Levie@uscg.mil and including the solicitation number 70Z03825IJ0000008 in the subject line. The USCG is seeking comprehensive information from potential suppliers, including company details, employee count, NAICS codes, business size and classification, GSA schedule listings, and references from other government agency users. Evaluation will be based on companies' capabilities to supply the specified aircraft parts, with a focus on understanding market readiness and potential supplier qualifications.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, meaning the opportunity is open to all business sizes and classifications. While no incumbent contractors or specific award values are mentioned, the USCG is gathering market intelligence to determine the feasibility of a future solicitation. The attachment lists 32 detailed line items with specific part numbers and National Stock Numbers (NSNs), suggesting a comprehensive and technical procurement strategy. The research is purely informational and does not guarantee a future contract award, serving only to help the Coast Guard understand potential market sources for these aircraft components. Businesses are advised that responding to this sources sought notice does not automatically qualify them for future solicitation consideration, and they will need to submit a formal response when the actual solicitation is published on SAM.gov.
