About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking repair or modification services for solenoid valves (NSN 7H-4810-012792986, TDP VER 003) under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, which authorizes non-competitive procurement from a single source. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source for this requirement; however, all responsible sources are invited to identify their interest and capability to respond by submitting proposals, quotations, or capability statements. While this is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties have up to 45 days (or 30 days if award is issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) from the publication date to submit their responses. Technical specifications and standardized documents are available through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) and ASSIST-Online, with assistance available by contacting the ASSIST Help Desk at 215-697-2667 or 215-697-2179. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on March 31, 2026, with a due date of May 15, 2026, providing interested contractors with the opportunity to demonstrate capability for this specialized repair requirement.
This procurement carries no set-aside designation and does not identify any incumbent contractor or current award values. The contract requires delivery of 75 units on a FOB Origin basis, indicating the contractor will be responsible for transportation from the point of origin. The Government has determined that it is uneconomical to purchase technical data rights or to reverse engineer the part, necessitating procurement from a source with existing capabilities and documentation. No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, and no timeline for service completion beyond the delivery requirement is specified at this stage.
