About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is preparing to solicit an Indefinite Delivery Contract for solenoid valves (NSN 4810-01-392-2935) and requests market survey responses by August 28, 2026. This is not a set-aside procurement.
The government has identified three approved sources: Pneudraulics (CAGE 06177, P/N 3963), Thomas Instrument, Incorporated (CAGE 5H860, P/N 89832-10), and Aerocontrolex Group, Inc. (CAGE 98939, P/N AA2240-02). The part is subject to source control under DoD-STD-100 and must be acquired from manufacturing sources specified on the source control drawing. Technical data, government data rights, and manufacturing knowledge sufficient to qualify additional suppliers are not currently available.
The anticipated IDC structure includes a three-year base period with two to four option years, with delivery orders issued against the basic contract. DLA is requesting market research input on manufacturer and dealer/distributor status, small business designation, commercial item determination, product availability, delivery capabilities, maximum quantities, minimum order requirements, pricing structures, and willingness to accept proposed contract terms.
Companies currently not on the approved source list may submit a qualification application through the DLA Weapons Support Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program with required technical data demonstrating manufacturing capability. Interested vendors, including those seeking approval as new sources, should direct inquiries and market survey responses to Contract Specialist Daniel West at Daniel.West@dla.mil.

The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item which DLA Weapons Support - Columbus is procuring.
For further information, please reference the DLA Weapons Support web page shown below and click on the highlight: Alternate Offer/Source Approval Program for detailed explanation for the information and format necessary for a SAR and for the SAR approval process.
