About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command intends to solicit a valve (NSN 7H-4820-011667106, TDP VER 004) under sole-source authority (FAR 6.302-1), with a response deadline of October 6, 2026. The Navy does not possess the technical data to produce this item and has determined spares procurement to be sole source; only sources approved by the In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) may be considered. Quantity is 4 units, FOB origin.
To qualify, a company must be certified as a Depot Overhaul Point (DOP) and approved by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) ISEA. Organizations believing they possess the requisite technical data and capability must complete and return a Source Approval Request (SAR)-Maritime, available for download at https://public.navsup.navy.mil/public/ops$public.business_vendor_form_new. NAVSEA ISEA will conduct a technical referral and engineering determination of manufacturing capabilities; this approval process can be lengthy. Offers for remanufactured, surplus, or repaired items will not be considered and will be determined non-responsive.
Though the Government intends to solicit only one source, all responsible sources may identify their interest and capability or submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements. All proposals received within 45 days of publication (or 30 days if award is issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) will be considered. The Government retains sole discretion to determine whether to compete the contract based on responses received.
